Foundation Offers Free Workshops for Church Finance Staff

The United Methodist Foundation of Louisiana is once again offering its FREE Best Practices for the Church Business Office workshop for church secretaries, finance chairs and volunteers, business managers, administrators, and staff.

The workshop will feature veteran church administrator Dianne Wilkinson, who understands the unique challenges of managing and reporting the church’s finances. She has many years of experience serving in different capacities in multiple churches, including business administration. Dianne will discuss various best practices and review daily routines and processes used in the church business office to prevent fraud, protect your integrity and do it right.

Wilkinson will present at multiple locations throughout May. Each workshop will take place from 10 am to noon and will include lunch afterward.

• May 3 - First UMC, Alexandria

• May 4 - Noel Memorial UMC, Shreveport

• May 16 - First UMC, Lake Charles

• May 17 - First UMC, Baton Rouge

• May 18 - First UMC, Metairie

Registration is required and open to all who work with finances in the Methodist church in Louisiana. The Foundation is hosting the workshop and lunch with no cost to attend!
