2025 Grants Recap: Foundation Awards $279,418 to Multiple Ministries

2025 Grants Make a Lasting Impact

In 2025, the United Methodist Foundation of Louisiana continued its commitment to strengthening ministries and communities through generous grant support. Through the work of its Grants Committee, the Foundation awarded $279,418 in grants to churches and ministries across the Louisiana Conference and beyond. These funds will support a wide range of projects designed to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families, responding to local needs while advancing the mission of the Church.

Of special note, the Foundation partnered with the Louisiana Conference of The United Methodist Church to provide a joint $240,000 gift to the Lydia Patterson Institute. This significant investment supports urgent capital needs at the historic United Methodist school serving students in the El Paso–Juarez region. The funding will help ensure LPI can continue offering a safe, faith-centered learning environment for students—many of whom cross the border each day in pursuit of education, opportunity, and hope.

Together, these grants reflect the generosity of donors and the Foundation’s ongoing dedication to equipping ministries that transform lives. A full list of 2025 grant recipients is shown at right.
